This material has low coefficients of sliding friction and low abrasion. Can be used at up to 120 degrees Celsius (248° Fahrenheit) but has a low compression set compared to PU materials. Special types are also available in food grade. The best-known representative of this material is Hytrel® from DuPont and is particularly common in the USA. The main areas of application are wipers, backup rings and mechanical seals.
