Guide rings are differentiated into piston and rod guide elements. They guide the rod centrally into the cylinder head and the piston into the cylinder barrel. Guide rings prevent the direct contact of the metallic components of the cylinder and absorb the lateral forces occurring during operation. They are manufactured primarily in straight or inclined slotted form. The former ensures that they can be easily mounted, in the latter, the inclined slot serves to prevent drag flow pressure. DMH manufactures wear bands in a variety of high-tech material qualities, which contribute significantly to lengthening the functional and operational reliability of the cylinder.
